video curriculum

we're kicking around the idea of a video small group curriculum. our initial thoughts are to have a 10-minute intro video that gives the lesson or background to what the students will study that evening, then a time for discussion, etc.

any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

in the past the "LIFE TOGETHER" videos have not been a hit for our students. They say it feels too scripted and not engaging for conversation. If there is a video of about 10 minutes what if it was a "NOOMA" style of video or a video watching other high school students discussing the topic then stop it & allow the small group to then have their own discussion...just a thought

I would agree with Danny... I think a Nooma style video would be engaging. But it might be great if the video were shot with an actual small group time happening and then allowing the discussion to spring out of that.

thanks for the feedback guys. the NOOMA style videos are definitely amazing and we're always shooting to put out the best product available. these videos will NOT be along the same vein as the Life Together videos. the content there is good, but a talking head is not engaging. appreciate your time and feedback fellas...
